Put it on your website

On Settings → ShedTech OnSite, list every website the quoter may appear on, for example sheds.example.com.au, or *.example.com.au for a domain and all its subdomains. Anywhere else, the browser refuses to show it.

Make a website key (it starts pk_live_). It’s meant to be in your page for anyone to read: what keeps it safe is your list of websites, rate limits and the bot check.

Copy the snippet from the settings page; it has your app address and key filled in. There are three:

<script src="https://<app address>/embed.js" data-key="pk_live_..." async></script>

It puts the quoter where the script is, and the frame grows with the quoter, so there’s never a second scroll bar. Moving to the next step scrolls the quoter’s top into view.

Attribute What it does
data-target="#id" Put the quoter in that element instead
data-theme="auto" Follow the visitor’s dark mode ("dark": always dark; leave it out: light)
data-height="900" Fix the height instead of growing
data-mode="simple" or "full" Ask for a style, where you let pages choose
<script src="https://<app address>/embed.js" async></script>
<shedtech-quoter key="pk_live_..." mode="simple"></shedtech-quoter>
<iframe src="https://<app address>/quoter/pk_live_...?mode=simple"
style="width:100%;height:1150px;border:0" allow="fullscreen"></iframe>

A plain iframe can’t grow by itself, so give it room.

  • WordPress: paste the script into a Custom HTML block.
  • Squarespace or a builder that only takes an iframe: use the plain iframe.
  • Wix puts embedded HTML inside its own frame on another domain. Add *.filesusr.com to your websites as well as your own.

Replace makes a new key; the old one keeps working for the hours you choose (0 to 720), so you can change your website over. Revoke stops a key at once. Each key shows who made it, when it was last used and how often.
